Energia have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Economic Regulation Specialist - Electricity Markets based in Belfast or Dublin.

The Policy and Regulation Team is responsible for providing strategic, analytical and specialist advice and support to key internal decision-makers on regulatory, policy and market-related matters. 

Working collaboratively with the business, the Senior Regulatory Specialist will proactively identify and prioritise high value, high risk issues to be addressed through change in policy or market modifications. 

The successful candidate will influence change through effective engagement with external decision-makers, collaboration with other industry participants, and by building consensus within trade associations. They will support the business to ensure it fully understands and acts in response to market or policy changes. 

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the regulatory environment of Energia’s diverse energy portfolio and we are looking for candidates who aspire to be involved in shaping future energy policy on the island of Ireland.

What you'll need

  • Third level qualification in an analytical discipline such as Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Legal or Finance.
  • Experience of working in a similar role with knowledge of the all-island single electricity market, (5 years plus experience is desired).
  • Demonstrable experience of interpreting, summarising, and making recommendations on complex documents and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present and influence across a range of key stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to plan effectively and deliver to tight deadlines.
